WOMEN REDEFINING REAL ESTATE

Would you define yourself as a planner? Do you love ordering notebooks and calendars so you can get organized? I am so GUILTY!! And do you get giddy when it comes time to color coordinate those plans? Please tell me it’s not just me!!??!!

Well, you’re not alone. You’re among the hundreds of thousands of people who love coming up with plans and ideas for the future. Yet, while you can be great at planning, you may be awful at executing.

In this blog, we’re talking about how to put your plans into action to finally get beyond the planning phase.

You GOT THIS!!

Don’t bite off more than you can chew

One of the greatest challenges that people face in setting goals and making plans is taking on too much at once. They set their sights unrealistically high, which often results in disappointment.

Save yourself this discouragement and make your plan manageable. Remember, you can always create more challenging goals if you’re steadily progressing as time goes on. But, by focusing on one core project at a time and understanding what’s realistic for you, you help make that possible. You prevent yourself from getting overwhelmed as you balance everything in your life.

Break it down

Often, looking at a project as a whole can be incredibly overwhelming. One of the best things you can do is break down your plan into big and small goals. Once you have big and small goals, you can put them on your calendar and slowly check them off. Tell yourself, “Okay, I’ll have a different smaller goal every day and a larger goal for the week.” Picking off your project methodically – piece by piece – can help you feel empowered as you begin to make progress.

Know your distractions and work to eliminate them

What causes you to get distracted from a project? How can you eliminate these distractions in your life?

Narrow in on what prevents you from executing your plan. For instance, if you struggle to execute your plan because your phone constantly distracts you, work on setting your phone aside for 30 minutes at a time. These short periods can be all you need to bust out a task that you may have been putting off. The more you do it, the better you’ll get at eliminating the distraction altogether. You’ve got this.

Clarify your purpose

Along the way, it’s easy to lose focus on why you started on this path. When you’re creating your plan, be sure to reflect on why you want to do this. Keeping your “eye on the prize” can help you push forward even in moments of doubt.

Make yourself accountable

Sometimes we create plans that are just “for us.” We don’t tell anyone about them, and we never write them down. But we SWEAR that we’re going to follow through on them. Well, sure enough, your plan never comes to fruition, and many wonder why this is.

When you plan a project, part of your planning phase should be writing it down and sharing it with your trusted circle. This may be your family, friends, mentors, advisors, or anyone else you trust to hold you accountable.

By letting them know your plan, they can help provide feedback as well as inspire and motivate you. Having people to talk with about your plan and goals along the way can help keep you on track.

Final thoughts

Successfully execute a strategy tips can help you get past the planning stage and launch that dream business or hobby! Remember, there’s no passion or money in an unexecuted plan that’s sitting on your desk. You’ve got to get out there and put your thoughts into action.
